This was honestly so difficult. You guys dunno how many times I went back and forth with this prompt. I was so tempted to give it to Haikyuu!!, and while truthfully Karasuno ranks as my number one team, I’ll be featuring them a lot over the next month. I wanted to give some credit to some shows that aren’t talked about as much. SO HERE WE ARE.

I love Sohoku. They’re a small team with grit and spunk and character. Their quirkiness is absolutely charming. I would argue that Onoda is influenced more by his team than any other protagonist in the sports anime world, as well. They support him on and off the road, and even go so far as traveling to Akiba with him, despite having no interest in anime. Let’s not forget the iconic moment where he gets them to sing Hime, Hime! while they climb. Legendary.
